This number must be free.
It cannot already be in use on another WhatsApp API provider, and it cannot be signed in to the WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app. If it is, delete that account first — otherwise the connection will fail and the number can be locked for a while. A brand-new number, or one you have stopped using in the app, works best.
